"Bay Area hellions, Vulgar Trade, are poised to inherit the mantle of chaotic hardcore torch bearers. Borrowing equally from Southern California (think Gravity Records' bands like Heroin or The VSS) and Midwestern (think Halo of Flies stalwarts Protestant) traditions, the band fuses bruising punk and metal with oddball, arty, and undeniably catchy intersecting guitar spiderwebs. The first time I listened to this album I was an utterly unmotivated individual who spent way too much time playing skate 3 and laughing away my shortcomings in life.
